1 Gather up hair in a ponytail and twist clockwise.

2 Place your hair stick on top of the ponytail close to your head.

3 Bring the hair up, over and around the stick once, not too tightly.

4 Keeping hold of the hair free end, turn the stick ......

5 .... around once. This tightens up the gathered hair.

6 Bring the hair free end down behind the stick and wrap around it.
|
7 Continue wrapping the remainder around the stick and continue to hold the tail end, then....
|
8 ...pull the pin out just enough that the hair does not fall off it and swist the pin up in an outward arc.
|
9 Continue up until the pin is pointing in the opposite direction
Then ....

10 .... push the pin down in behind the hair bundle. The pin should need a firm push.
|
11 And this will result in a knot which will stay in place.
