Please note, next day delivery options are subject to Royal Mail terms & conditions. Presently, next day refers to next "working" day.
Although I try to despatch on the day of order (time permitting) or the following day, it would be wise to contact me first if you need an urgent delivery to ensure that I can meet your needs.

I always obtain proof of postage whatever method is used. I cannot be held responsible for delivery when the consignment has been posted and out of my control. In the event of a consignment not being delivered, I will try to obtain compensation. If I am successful in getting compensation, I will refund your payment.

UK Recorded delivery includes compensation up to £36.
UK Special Delivery Next Day includes compensation up to £500.
International Airmail Signed For includes compensation up to £500.
 
All deliveries must be signed for. If you provide a wrong delivery address and/or your goods are signed for by another party, I cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred as a result.
On receipt of goods, for your protection please make sure you check the packaging carefully for any signs of visible damage and if necessary, obtain recognition of that damage when signing for the delivery.

Ordering

All items are priced in UK Stirling (VAT is not applicable). Packing & postage are extra.
Please make sure the e-mail address you provide is correct and your mailbox is in proper working order; all order confirmations are sent to that e-mail address.
Any contracts or agreements formed between you and Japanese Style by means of this web site shall be governed and construed according to English law and any disputes or proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Out of Stock Items

Whilst the system prevents anyone purchasing an item when the stock level is zero, it is feasible (albeit an unlikely occurrance) for two people to purchase a last remaining item. For example when a purchase is being conducted and then a second person attempts and completes their purchase before the first person has.
In such a situation, if I have the same item on order again, I will supply that, although there may be a delay whilst waiting for the order to arrive. If I have a similar item on order, I will contact you and offer it as an alternative. If you do not wish to accept the alternative your payment will be refunded.

Cancellation Right

Under the UK distance selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods. Please see the returns policy for further details.

Returns Policy

Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days upon receipt of the goods. However, in the interests of hygiene, regretfully this does not apply to unwanted hair combs, hair pins, hair ties or hair clasps.

Secure packaging is used for postage, but in the unlikely event of damage during shipment, the item(s) will be replaced (or refunded in the event of a direct replacement not being possible) providing I am informed upon receipt and the damaged item(s) are returned with the original packaging without delay.

Every effort is made to give an accurate description and size of products. Some items are difficult to give dimensions for, but the photographs usually include objects to give a visual perception of size. Also, the images of products on this web site have been colour corrected (also using a calibrated monitor) to ensure correct rendition and accurate colours. However the colour rendition of different monitors does vary and there will inevitably be variation between the actual products and how it is perceived in web pages viewed on the monitor you are using. Accordingly Japanese Style reserve the right to not accept goods for return based upon the item being not as expected.

The information you provide on this online store may be held by Japanese Style and its web site shopping cart administration company, and not by any other third parties.
The information you provide on this site may be held and used by us for any of the following purposes: order processing, administration of customers' orders and/or accounts, dealing with enquiries or complaints, crime and fraud prevention. In addition, we may use information about you provided by credit reference agencies to help make credit decisions and to prevent fraud.
